Tim Buckley Following on from Dream Letter and Live From The Troubadour, the third in Edsel's triptych of Buckley live releases draws on a radio broadcast from November 1973, by which time the singer's early fascination with courtly love in generally pastoral settings had been replaced by the defiantly salty yet no less ecstatic celebration of mature relationships and sex found on Greetings From LA. Backed by the Sefronia band of Joe Falsia (guitar), Bernie Mysior (bass), Buddy Helms (drums) and Mark Tiernan (keyboard), Buckley sings of pinging bed springs, erogenous stretch marks and, frankly, bitch dogs in heat with a lascivious vigour that positively revels in the long haul: the title track clocks in at over eight minutes and Sweet Surrender isn't far behind.
